教学目标与重难点

目标

1.      学生通过教师引导习得词汇: climb, bite, hide, throw, fridge, pain, worse, medicine

2.学生自主积累阅读过程中的好句子:如When Henry was

working... While the snake was lying...

3.帮助培养学生提高对文本的分析能力,抓住文本的主要信息。

4.学生通过阅读文本,能够找准作者的写作意图,并做出判断,进而

阐述自己的观点。

5.通过引导学生品读文章来抓住人物的性格特征。

6.体会用英式幽默的方式来阐述严肃的道理。能够根据线索和时间顺序来叙述故事。

情感态度与价值观

1.    学生在本节课上,通过小组合作及自主学习,体验到阅读的乐趣。

2.    让学生学会用勇敢冷静的态度去处理问题,学会自救,感受英式幽默。

学习策略

1. 学生通过小组讨论,同伴互助及自主阅读完成各项学习活动。

2. 学生借助标题,图片,每段首末句来获取文章的主旨大意。

教学重点、难点

1.    学生能够运用学习到的阅读技巧完成阅读任务,如快读,细读。

2.    能在阅读中借助上下文语境猜测部分词汇的含义并能恰当运用。

3.    学习更多关于过去进行时的表达,并提高学生们的语言表达能力,能够理解事件发生的顺序。

4.    能根据线索和时间顺序写一篇简单的事故。

Teaching procedures

Before reading

Watch a video and learn the new words.

(设计意图:通过看视频学习新单词,唤起学生学习欲望。)

While reading

1. Scan the whole passage to find the answer.

What’s the passage mainly about?

(设计意图:学生通过速读全文,找出文章主题。)

2. Read Paras1--3 and answer.

(1)    What happened when Henry was working in a restaurant?

How did the snake appear in the restaurant?

When did the snake bite Henry again?

What did Henry do after the snake bit him again?

(设计意图:引导学生阅读,让他们了解Henry是如何被咬伤的。)

(2) Check the answers.

(3) Summarize Paras1-3 with mind map.

(设计意图:利用思维导图清晰展现本部分的主要信息,帮助学生复习巩固。)

3.  

(1) Ask: What would you do if you saw a snake lying on the table?

(设计意图:设置悬念激发学生阅读兴趣。)

(2)Read Para.4 and answer.

  What did Henry do while the snake was lying on the table?

(设计意图:学生通过教师设计的问题进行文本阅读。)

(3)Discuss: What do you think of Henry?

(设计意图:对Henry在危急时刻所表现出的沉着冷静进行评价,进而总结人物性格。)

4.Read Paras4-6 and answer.

(1).How was Henry saved? Put the following sentences in order.

1__While the snake was lying on the table, he quickly took a photo.

___Henry suddenly remembered the photo.

___The doctors sent the photo to a zoo and learnt what kind of snake bit him.

6.Think:Why does the writer use the title” Smile, please!”?

7.Explain: What is British humor?

(设计意图:通过阅读了解用英式幽默的方式阐述严肃道理,开拓文化视野。)

8.Summary

After reading

1.Tell Henry’s story with the mind map.

(设计意图:利用思维导图总体复述Henry的故事,既帮助学生复习巩固所学知识又能为下面的写作提供示范。)

2.Writing

(1)Tell a story of Tom

(设计意图:学生谈论图片,叙述故事的发展。为下面的写作做好铺垫。)

(2)Write a short passage according to t the key words.

(设计意图:本环节为输出环节,让学生通过学习,利用思维导图及提示词,进行书面表达,提高其书面表达能力。)

Homework

1.  Finish the Part5 on Page 67

2.  Read the passage again and tell Henry’s story to your friends.

3.  Polish(润色) your writing and e-mail me at 3338902292@qq.com.
